We provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Spinal Manipulation
"THE ADJUSTMENT"
When patients think of chiropractic treatment, their first thought is usually the chiropractic adjustment, which is the primary method of restoring a patient's health. This painless adjustment moves misaligned bones back into their proper position. During the technique, the joints or spine of a patient are adjusted- either by hand or with the use of a device such as an activator. The procedure helps to initiate pain relief and stress reduction, while allowing the newly-balanced body to maintain health and prevent re-injury.
Spinal Decompression
NON-SURGICAL PRESSURE RELIEF
For patients with herniated and degenerative discs, spinal decompression is an amazing and painless therapy that is clinically proven to correct and alleviate symptoms. Patients lie down on a table while the spine is gently stretched to increase circulation to the disc and joints. Ten minutes per session is typically all the time needed to feel results.
Intersegmental Traction
Intersegmental traction is used to increase mobility and prevent abnormal wear and tear to spinal joints through the induction of passive motion. Intersegmental Traction is a specialized device that delivers gentle, rolling vibrations to the back. In addition to the health benefits of intersegmental traction, many patients find this treatment to be incredibly relaxing and therapeutic.
Electrotherapy
We rely on electricity every day to light our homes and use appliances. With all its run-of-the-mill uses, you may have never considered that electricity could be used to reduce acute and chronic pain. How is electricity used to lessen pain? Electrotherapy directly blocks pain signals and encourages the body to release its own natural painkillers (endorphins).
The American Physical Therapy Association recognizes the use of electrotherapy for:
- Pain management
- Treatment of neuromuscular dysfunction
- Tissue repair
- Improving joint mobility
- Treatment of edema (both acute and chronic)
- Treatment of fecal and urinary incontinence
- Treating abnormal peripheral blood flow
- Treatment of atrophy
However, electrotherapy is mainly used by chiropractors to relax muscles, prevent muscle spasms, reduce pain, increase blood circulation, rehabilitate muscles and improve range of motion.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
NON-SURGICAL PRESSURE RELIEF
Ultrasound waves deliver a deep heating effect to encourage blood circulation, reduce stiffness in the targeted tissues and muscles, and aid in the healing process. Typical treatments are very relaxing and completely pain free. Controlled electrical micro-currents are used to reduce inflammation and restore proper muscle movements.
IASTM Therapy
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization therapy focuses on correcting dysfunctional movement patterns and properly aligning underlying fascial adhesions that can form in the interconnective tissue surrounding muscle. This therapy can be used to improve range of motion, decrease trigger points, and treat acute or chronic pain by decreases neurological pain receptors associated with fascial distortion.
